Fitted my ASR Subframe brace and Whiteline 25mm Adjustible rear ARB. The subframe brace is required because the subframe on the SiR uses thinner steel than the Type-R, and fitting a thicker ARB can result in the mountings tearing away. The brace also has the added bonus of stiffening the chassis up at that point. It's a VERY nicely made piece of kit, really well machined and it's is made from a very thick guage aluminium.

The ASR, ARB and associated hardware:

Old ARB off, it's basically a piece of dental floss compared to the Whiteline item:

All bolted up, another added bonus, it looks cool :D

So does it all make a difference? **** me yeah. The car handled really well before, nice and neutral, with easily controllable lift-off oversteer, but I was finding it would give a little hint of understeer in certain situations.

But now there is NO understeer ATALL. It's still largely neutral, but go past the limit and the backend floats out in a beautifully progressive way without having to provoke it by lifting off. It was fun before, now it makes me grin like a lunatic.

Very, very pleased with the results.

I fitted the Mugen stripe too, pics coming up...

Well happy with that, it really sets the car off. Rim tape didn't turn up though :(

looking good, but how is it that you adjust what looks to me like a solid metal bar? I think i'm missing something here.

2 bolt holes either side... maybe thats it?

I'm liking that a lot :) The stripe's just enough without being OTT

ARB kit looks very well made, another trackday planned soon to test it properly?

Looks good, what tyres are you running and what size?

I found on 15's the standard 195/55/15's were awful, although I never had the Bridgestones on and they are meant to have a stiffer sidewall.

Tegs are very fussy when it comes to tyres.

I have Bridgestone Potenzas at 205/45/16. I'm finding them pretty good, could be better in the wet though.

96 spec, 4 stud wheels and no lower lip on the rear bumper.

Ah thats a good choice. I had a 98 spec with the 010 215/45/16's they are expensive to buy, although I never had to as I crashed it before they were worn out.

Im ITR_Nick on the ITR forum if your on there, not on much any more though as I dont have a car at all, banned :(

Looking very nice on the whole, however I'm not sure I like those wheels in black, they look a little bit too much like steelies with no hub caps in those pics. That may not be the case in "RL" though?

I have a thing about white rims on those teggies, they just look so right!

Hi there

Drexel I've done exactly the same to the Mustang and I witnessed exactly the same kind of improvements. I've also done quite a bit more and cannot get over how such simple things can vastly improve a car. :)

Yep, I'm on there under the same name.

Looks nice Drexel. Offside front bumper, You scraped it?

Was like that when I got it unfortunately :(

Will get it sorted at the same time as the sideskirts/lip.

It does look better IRL, but TBH black wheels are 'marmite'. Are personally love the look.

Absolutely, it was the same when I did it to the scoob. In a lot of ways chassis mods are more satisfying than power mods.

How much did that set you back? I'm thinking of the same for my EP3. I need some camber bolts and a fast road setup doing too. Skittish front end to say the least!

I have the standard pots on the EP3, not as bad in the wet as people make out. It's all about throttle control. It's just a huge difference to their dry performance. Still, you have to be silly to drive to silly in the wet.
