The iiyama 23" IPS is a stunning bit of kit, great colours, amazing viewing angles and still with a fast response time and the price is very very good for this type of monitor. :)

Well, i was all set to order the Asus ML239H which is the same price as the Iiyama (today)

The asus has 'trace free' settings which does a good job, according to tftcentral, of dealing with any motion blur and ghosting. I can't find any reviews on this new Iiyama but the extra connection over the asus it is quite tempting.

I just don't know what to do now!

Edit: i was also thinking of waiting a little longer as a lot of manufacturers seem to be using IPS panels now as they seem to have come down in price.

That ram price is so daft its worth almost buying just for the sake of it :)

would I notice any difference whatsoever in my whs2011 box with 8gb in over the 4gb thats currently in?

Hi there

What is this extra connection your saying the iiyama has as I must have missed it?

Hi Gibbo, the Iiyama has

1 x VGA
1 x DVI
1 x HDMI

but the ASUS only has

1 x VGA
1 x HDMI

so if i got the ASUS i would want to connect my pc via the HDMI but i also have a PS3 which i would want to connect using the HDMI. Getting the Iiyama would let me connect my pc via the DVI port and the PS3 via the HDMI.

Ram that cheap, is worth getting a new mobo and chip to match for my sisters system, instead of paying silly money for corrupted 2nd hand ddr2
