LOL webcam sold out fast then? ;)

Does this card come with BF4? Name and box suggests yes, but nowhere in the details is it mentioned.

i would think so, it is called the B4 Edition

but like you said no where in the description does it say so
but anderp does say "Upgrade your graphics card, get BF4 with it" so i would take that as a binding contract ;)

Hmm about two weeks since release and its £40 cheaper then I paid for it, and its not like I've got any use out of it as didn't build the PC till end of last week and due to high temp issues(CPU not the 290x) not played any games just ran a few benchmarks.

Standard version without any of the DLC I think. Also if you're considering it migjt be worth having a look at the other 290X thread. Seems lots of people still haven't received their codes.

Yep, I for one am still waiting!!! (Beginning to think it will never turn up!!!)

After giving up the ghost with...Ghosts: and gettin a bit tittsed off with nVidia, I was wondering whether the r290x can use Physx..Can it? can it? It must be done cuz of the mighty Batman (games). say its true.

I was only wondering because you used to have to mod drivers to use Physx if I remember correctly (its late and im tired so if it makes no sense ask someone else perlease)

Sort of off topic as well, can ya use 1gb cards with bf4? 2 asus 560ti is what I have and as for that utter bullsquirt that they said u needed 2 gb cards to play bf3, (it just needed more bloody memory than 4gb) I would like fellow forumites to shed a bit of light on the subject.

TIA

PhysX is an NVidia thing - so it makes sense to be nope. (That's not an answer, as I'm not sure. Gibbo is best answering.) But there is a review comparing some NVidia cards and the newer cards from AMD.

From looking at the charts they provided, the 290X is up there performance wise with the TITANs.

Not posting the link, but if you Google "290x physx" it's the top link, review written by Steven Walton :)

BOSH!

nice 1. I've not read the physx thing but i had the idea it was a nope without modding. I'll looksie later

Yes you can use them, depending on resolution you might find only 1gb a bottleneck, but with the 560ti I expect you'll be knocking the details down anyways.

The recommendation is for over 2gb RAM if running multiple screens at 1080p or higher. Many people running 2gb with multiple screens and notice very little difference.

Basically if you want to run 2 (or more) 2560x1440 screens at ultra detail you'll need more than 3gb RAM, the only cards capable of decent framerates at that resolution and detail all have 3gb+ RAM anyway...

Cheers dude, i have 2 screens, but only use 1 of them. 2 reasons for that are diff res 1920x1080@120 and 1680x1050@60. And the samsung (206bw) keeps losing picture signal..I think. Besides, if I wanted to use a 2nd screen for commander mode, I would use my Nexus 7 for that.

BF4 is a go then
