If you’re looking for an everyday laptop to enjoy your media, produce documents and browse the internet on, the Toshiba C660-10D 15.6” laptop should fit the bill.

Thanks to its speedy 2.3GHz Intel Pentium Processor, 4GB of memory and spacious 500GB SATA hard drive, you’re capable of running multiple, and memory intensive, applications at the same time on your Toshiba C660-10D.

Browsing the web over a Wi-Fi network is a breeze, and depending on the connection strength, you’ll be able to quickly and reliably jump from different pages and sites. You’ll experience fast downloads and video streaming from sites such as YouTube and the BBC.

Furthermore, an integrated webcam lets you see the people you’re chatting to online without having to install any additional software. It’s great to use in conjunction with Skype or MSN Messenger.

The Toshiba C660-10D has a full-size keyboard, with integrated numeric keypad. A built-in multi-touch trackpad means you don’t need a mouse to move your cursor around the screen, or open and zoom into images. Of course, if you’d prefer to use a mouse, you can always connect it to one of the two USB ports.

When you’re not working at your computer you can sit back and enjoy films and video clips on the laptop’s 15.6” screen. The TruBrite screen delivers bright and vivid colours, so your multimedia content really comes to life. This is combined with impressive sound from integrated stereo speakers for an immersive movie experience. Films can be popped into the DVD player/rewriter, or you can play content directly off your hard drive. With Windows 7 Home Premium included, setting up and watching your multimedia content is simple. Furthermore, photos can be uploaded onto your hard drive from a mult imedia card - the Toshiba C660-10D laptop has a 2-in-1 card reader.

All of the content on your Toshiba C660-10D 15.6" laptop is well-protected, thanks to its face recognition password system. Instead of typing in a memorable word each time you want to log-in, the webcam scans your face to see if you’re allowed access to the computer.

That's ridiculous. No idea how that is justifiable. Is the performance quality still as good as a 580?

480 still a great card, not far from 580 performance, only a tiny bit behind. Better than a 570 too

GTX480 vs GTX570
Better than? Hard to justify, on par however is more reasonable - but take into account lower power draw, cooler temps, better scaling and your statement becomes wilder ;):p.

GTX480 vs GTX580
Not far from? Hmmmm.....

But yeah, not much of a deal really at all

You're comparing a £230 card to a £350 card though, it's obviously going to fall behind a little. 480 brings more RAM to the table so if you're gaming at higher res, it's going to edge ahead.

I also really dont think anyone considers heat or power draw when they're looking for a high end graphics card too :p

they've rocketed in price recently. a few months ago the standard ones were under £200, but now they are £300+ everywhere

Supply and demand.... there's not many left now so lack of supply has forced the price up. Can't see anyone wanting these unless they want a matched pair for SLI. GTX570 is better value given the similar performance and price but lower temps, power draw and noise!

That Toshiba laptop is good value at a shade over 300 though. Decent specs for that price.

True you get what you pay for but RAM is pointless unless it attains the performance of the latest games. The 480 isn't as amazing when we first seen it as performance is the same as a £150 5870.

I still think it's a good card but there are better choices at a similar price such as the 1.280MB 570 (£233.99) where in 3dmark vantage performance mode you will get 3k more points and performance isn't too far off the might GTX580. Well worth buying as the GTX480 is going to sell out soon. Please make sure you do your research and read a few reviews to see how well your games play.

Price on 480 does seem a bit steep, surely they were cheaper, whoever pulling the strings :D

Is there any chance of getting Asus 6950 DirectCU II 2gb back in stock and today only it to £197 like the last time? still cryin becouse i missed that :D

Doesn't look like it will. It's been pulled or pruned from the ever-growing GPU list. However, you can get the XFX ATI Radeon 6950 2GB for £210 but no special offer.
