Intel's 4th gen processor codename: Haswell offers superior performance over the previous generation Ivybridge by up to 10% clock for clock. This astounding performance boost results in performance improvements in multi-tasking, encoding, gaming and multithreaded applications. Intel's 4th generation processor has improved PCI-Lane 3.0 bandwidth which helps further boost performance of latest generation 3 graphics cards for the ultimate gaming experience.

For overclocking enthusiasts, Intel's 4th gen CPU has improved memory overclocking support, with up to and beyond 3000MHz possible with the very best memory kits. Memory bandwidth is critically important to Haswell compared to previous generations. High frequency memory performance significantly improves encoding, gaming and benchmarking tasks.

The biggest leap in Intel's Haswell processor is the onboard graphics which is now up to 2.6x faster than previous HD4000 found in the Ivybridge CPU. What this means is these latest processors can actually play the latest games in HD with low/medium settings applied. Of course if you want to experience True HD gaming at maximum details then a dedicated graphics card is still a must.

Is there something new coming out on the CPU front or why are all these haswell's being emptied out.. :)

Cool prices by the way. I might switch to the 4770k if I didn't have such a nice sample of 4670k.

I'll send you some dohnuts if you do some weekend specials :D

Corsair Carbide 540 and some other cases plus some nice fan deals (sp120 pwm quiet edition twin pack etc)

Like a nice asthetics weekend or something so we can pimp our pc's :P

Nope.

If you monitor exchange rates / new US parliament nearly fell apart recently, well infact it did.

This made the pound (GBP) stronger against the dollar, as such I purchased a load of stock when the exchange went from 1.55 upto 1.62, this kind of exchange rate varience can reduce my cost price by as much as £15-£20 on such a CPU. Now OcUK is merely passing these savings on.

Unfortunately GBP is now weakening again, so prices will no doubt start to move upwards again in coming weeks once our cheaper stock is depleted.

Gonna be some very nice graphics deals over weekend sorry. :p

RAM prices on the way down?

Nope, still going up.

This is memory I purchased back in March before the price hikes, I filled my boots back then as I knew this would happen.

Just means OcUK can undercut the market and still make healthy margins. :)

I see.

I am a sucker for blue lights... Tempting

The capitalist in me is getting reeeeaaally mixed messages here.. Passings savings on to the customers instead of increased profit :P (Yeah, I know it also increases sales numbers). I have no complaints.

Cool stuff overall. I'll know where my friends will be buying their stuff if they ask me.

his 7950 needs to be among them please gibbo as i have missed it the last 2 times due to work and completely forgetting to order :D

edit: I rang once just after it was pulled and they said they couldn't alter the price as it was automatic or something :(

I can set the HIS for Monday's offer, but the weekends are two other cards, which might tempt you anyway.
