Aggghhhh that deal as come about 6 months to soon for me
Wanted to get a 780/780ti nearer xmas, but that deal seems really good..
Whats it like though?

I've had one for about 6 months now - seems very good, totally quiet and stable.

It is coping with 2560x1440 res in all games at 59/60FPS, however there are exceptions. It really struggles with Metro and other high-end pretty FPS/3D games (like 15FPS and lower). Stuff like Diablo 3, Company of Heroes 2, Dawn of War 2 and older games work well.

Given the choice currently (and seeing as how I cannot SLI them due to the size of the card vs. the motherboard PCI-E spacing), I'd opt for a more powerful single card; be it a Titan Black, 780 Ti or a dual-GPU card.

The iChill are pretty much some of the best out of the box performing NVIDIA cards, very cool and more or less silent as the cooler is simply too good for such a card, but that just means it runs cooler and quieter.

The 6GB will help with more demanding games resolution/texture wise, especially if at a later date you add a second for SLI. :)

Hmmmm do i/dont i?
What is the RMA like on these? Are inno easy to deal with like gigabyte/evga or is it like pulling teeth?

But is it the usual 28day turn around, like i send it to you then you send it on to inno? Or do you test it, confirm its faulty then send out a replacement

Not fussed either way, just would like to know :)

Am not sure on the details but we try to turn RMA's around in a few days wherever possible. It only takes longer when a product is no longer in production where we either refund you market value or exchange for the new equivalent product or wait for a repair.

Can't say fairer than that :)
Ok thats me heading home later and trying to sweet talk the wife

I had this card a few months back. It's a huge card. Make sure your case can fit it. Also it's the best cooler out of any card I've ever owned. Ran Heaven 4.0 and temps never went higher then 53c I kid you not. sometimes lower:eek: I was amazed how good the cooler worked. The card it's self is ok and oc'ed ok, but it's the cooler that wins it.

I have the silverstone ft03..
Which is a matx case and got nothing in the other pci-e slots so it should be ok
Its perhaps overkill for what i use (only play at 1080p on a tv) but would rather have the card running at 30% and breezing it, rather than stick with my 760

lol I just sold my 2 780's for 2 Asus 760 Strikers.

Any reason you did that?

Don't need that much power. 2 reason why really.. 1) While I do game on my PC a lot still. the games I play don't need that much power. 2) The 2 780's that light up green geforce didn't fit in my theme build. While the Asus 760 Strikers do. These 2 cards are as fast or faster then a 780ti anyways. I'm happy with that:)

Any chance of a deal on case fans? I need 5 120s and 1 140. I've had these sat in my basket for a while hoping for a deal:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Three Fan Bundle - Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition Fan 3 pin £26.99
1 x Corsair SP120 Quiet Series High Pressure Low Noise - Dual Pack (CO-9050006-WW) £22.00
1 x Corsair AF140 Quiet Series Low Noise High Airflow - Single Pack (CO-9050009-WW) £14.99
Total : £63.97 (includes shipping : ).

Although I think these are 3 pin and I would prefer a deal on some decent 4 pin PWM ones.

Thanks in advance :p.

So for me wanting to play games at ultra at 1080p on a TV, would you say the 780 is overkill or just right if i dont want the card running near capacity?
Or would a 770 surfice?
Id get the 770 inno equivilant if possible because i like the look of the cooler and its reviews on noise

You mean change the silver/grey bits to red, so its red/black?

If so yes it would look good but then it would look just like nearly every other brand.

That's what I was getting at yes. I love the cooling capability of this card, but the white wouldn't fit with my red and black build and I'm not sure the third party or ocuk would take kindly to a paint job.

1 780 would last you a while. If you go for 770 make sure it's a 4gb card. 2gb cards are under stain with new titles.
