The SSD is incorrect speed according to this website: http://www.mx-technology.com/en/product/ssd2.php?sid=34#fragment-19

OCUK stated:
- Max. Read Performance: Up to 555MB/s*
- Max. Write Performance: Up to 510MB/s*
- IOPS: up to 85,000

MXT stated:
Max. Read Performance Up to 500MB/s*
Max. Write Performance Up to 420MB/s*
IOPS up to 85,000

Updated: ahhh I found the correct speed as it for 240GB SSD only not for 480GB as you can see the different speed compared between 240GB and 480GB ! So, OCUK had got it wrong speed for this 480GB SSD. See below:

240GB SSD:
Model Name MXSSD3MDSTP-240G
NAND Flash MLC
Capacity 240GB
Interface Type SATA III
Form Factor 2.5"
Dimension 99.8 x 69.63 x 9.3 mm (LxWxH)
Lightweight 80g
Max. Read Performance Up to 555MB/s*
Max. Write Performance Up to 510MB/s*
IOPS up to 85,000

480GB SSD:
Model Name MXSSD3MDSTP-480G
NAND Flash MLC
Capacity 480GB
Interface Type SATA III
Form Factor 2.5"
Dimension 99.8 x 69.63 x 9.3 mm (LxWxH)
Lightweight 80g
Max. Read Performance Up to 500MB/s*
Max. Write Performance Up to 420MB/s*
IOPS up to 85,000

You are listing the specs for the Turbo series, not the turbo premium edition. The iops on the turbo premium edition is 85,000

No the turbo premium edition is the same spec here:

it didn't say on their site:

Max. Write Performance: Up to 510MB/s*

lol you ninja edited your post, but still doesn't change the fact that you had the specs for the Turbo edition listed, not the turbo premium edition. The Max Iops on the 480GB turbo is 50,000. On the Premium it's 85,000. These are figures that you changed since I pointed it out.

But you are right about Ocuk having wrongs specs as per the manufacturer website. But normally larger SSD's are faster so maybe the manufacturer website's write speeds should be 520MB/s but they just made a mistake? Or maybe OCuk do have it right and the speeds are the same as the 240GB.

Either way, sometimes what's listed on the the manufacturer website isn't what you get. That's why I am wondering about the 3.5 inch adapters :-)

Can somebody please answer does the MXT drive come with the adapters needed to make the drive fit into a 3.5 inch bay.

Thanks.

Ok, just after getting a reply to my post in the pre-sales queries section of the forum.

These do not come with an adapter :-( which pushes this drive too far over my budget!!
