Wow the cases didn't last long.

becuase they are a niche product, too big for small form factor fans, and no expansion slots for people who want to add things like wireless cards/sound cards etc. I was onsidering one but realised Id have to lose my sound card and also buy a motherboard with built in wireless, and then there is the size its pretty large for its use in my opinion.

Looks like a premium product to me, my case is big enough to eat my dinner off and cheap as chips where this is probably a good deal to sell hence the offer
Whats wrong with usb wireless

The flashstick looks like a light sabre

Ive had issues with gaming and usb wireless usually firewall issues on the router so I tend to stay clear of usb wireless these days.

USB wireless here atm and not a problem, wireless to the home hub on a BT line, ethernet to a sky router on a sky line. The wireless connection actually gives me a better ping and less jitter when I've ran tests.

Duff wireless maybe?

hence the fact they have been out for 10 days and are already on a deal.

They came in stock yesterday and sold out nearly all their pre-orders... And it's maybe because OCUK is giving their loyal forum members a good deal?

Niche products wouldn't require pre-orders, and they definitely don't sell out within days of having stock available. Having them on a deal doesn't mean they're niche.

OCUK loves you guys. That's how I'm gonna put it. ;)

Try inssider for gauging what strength a setup gives. I managed to fashion an aerial from a beer can that gave me an extra +5 A proper aerial probably helps more hence pci wins

selling them cheaper then stock costs tells me otherwise whether a rep decides to back it up or not. At the end of the day the prodigy is too big to be a HTPC or a SFF and doesnt have the expansion to be a mid system therefore it is and always will be a "niche" product aimed at the uneducated masses.

Have been using USB wireless for a year now - no problems at all. And that is not an antenna one either.
I'm only about 10m away from the router (including intervening wall) but experience has been fine.
