I don't know why but I feel like I need to distrust VTX over any other brand. Never tried their products but seems a very good price!

They are fine but at the same time they are not Asus or MSI. But they are also not going to explode inside your PC, they just don't have all the features of some of the high-end brands. :)

Is the 8350 a decent upgrade over a 960T? Also, currently cooling with an (elderly) freezer pro 7 ... would a (reasonably priced!) update of this also be good at the same time

No doubt - If MSI and Asus are the 'premium' choice - VTX definitely appear to be the 'budget' choice when you look at their pricing across most of the GPU ranges

It all depends what your doing with your 960t.

A cooler like the Raijintek Themis £20 or its bigger brother the Raijintek EreBoss £30 would be a good upgrade to your aging cooler if they will fit in your case.

and their packaging which looks quite cheap. They could have designed it better looking tbh.
