I've just cancelled my order for a Hanns G 28 cos the new stock arrival kept getting pushed back. I need a monitor and this looks great value on the face of it but I'm put off by some of the reviews which mention ghosting when strafeing in games and blurring in movies. Bur darn its cheap and its MVA so apparently has good viewing angles (although not reflected in the feature list). Decisions decisions.

Is it definitely MVA? because specs list viewing angles as (H/V): 170°/160°.

If it is MVA and 2ms reponse and 27", then that is one damn fine deal!

Well I googled AOC e2795vh and it came up with a couple of reviews and they remark on the fact that its one of the first real cheap non tft panels. It gets quite a good write up but the fact that they mention issues with games and movies troubles me as that's basically what I'll be using it for. Viewing angles are important as I'll not always be sat directly in front of it although the quoted viewing angles above are pretty bog standard.

I've taken the plunge and ordered the AOC. Further investigation revealed issues with watching movies only related to playback from dvd players due to poor scaling in the monitor but isn't a problem through your PC. Viewing angles quoted on other sites are 178/178 and apparently contrast ratios are great. Remains to be seen whether I'll notice any ghosting when playing fps but a 200quid for a 27" its just too cheap to resist. Roll on friday.

Good to hear ruskle!

Can you post some pics in the Monitor section and put up a mini review of it once you got the monitor? I am really curious about the video performance as well, as I tend to do a lot of video work on my PC. And yes it would good to hear about your thoughts on its performance in shooters too, as I'm sure a lot people will want to know how good its listed "2ms" response really is.

I hope it really is as good as the specs portray!:)

I'm even considering going from my Hanspree 28" LCD to this is the reviews are good.

I am a gamer so seeing how this monitor fairs in FPS land could be a deal maker or breaker.
