Why are Agilitys so cheap in comparison to equivalent sized Vertex's when the specs seem to be pretty much the same?

They use a slightly cheaper NAND which is why the reads/writes are a little slower and the IOPS are also lower.

Still a very fast drive though :)

+ they seem to lead the way in issues that have been encountered... I have owned 2 and put some in for mates though and have not seen the BSOD issue in the flesh.

DOes anyone know why Agility 3 series is being sold so agressively ? It's not a top secret such big deals occur just before release of new series, or bigger capacities in similar price.
When I've bought Agility 60 GB it was so cheap, but it was clear OCZ "cleans up storages" for new "3" series.
But what's a reson to give such big deal now ? There are other players on the market (Samsung, Crucial, some exotic companies etc), but they don't offer attractive prices. Does OCZ expect them to get prices lower ?
I'm just curious, of course it is great peformer in good price as well.

They probably made more of them so able to offer them at a lower price point. If I didn't own a crucial M4 64gb SSD I'd have bought one of these in a heartbeat.
