I would go for the MSI , in fact I might buy that today......But as it's AMD /Radeon I probably wont

But ..it is very tempting at that price :)

My guess would be:
  1. huge demand on the Gaming series for all the mining people were doing
  2. MSI ramped up production of all series of cards
  3. the bottom fell out of mining
  4. demand back to previous levels
  5. many people getting second hand cards instead of new
  6. demand drops further
  7. MSI drop production, but have huge surplus of cards
  8. MSI drop prices to cover costs and clear backlog

Well you did ask ;)
