***OVERCLOCKING GUIDELINES***

- Do not exceed 1.35-1.38v core voltage, doing so could limit lifespan of the CPU
- Do not overclock with BCLK, again doing so could limit lifespan of the CPU
- Recommended memory voltage is 1.50v, so make sure to run your memory at 1.50v, higher could limit lifespan of the CPU
- These recommendations come from OcUK and Intel, your warranty is un-affected but we highly recommend you adhere to the above to make sure your CPU lifespan is un-affected
- All Sandybridge CPU's worldwide should be run at the above or lower voltages, no higher!

Q. Is that ram just undervolted to 1.35v? Could it be run at 1.5/1.6v? Possibly with improved timings :)

Thats what I was hoping for too, from reviews ive read to get 1866 timings are upto cas 11.... I think a lot of that is due to sandybridge however and not the ram

Was thinking of getting some but tbh my xms3 is working fine :) and that does 1866 at cas 10 with 1.5v anyway (1.65v kit)

GREAT PRICE BTW :D

True, but my problem is, like a lot of people, I have a large cooler which high ram won't fit under. Geil has some superb stuff hitting the market right now but even they've gone down the silly hs rout to "stand out".

Anyway, C8 1T @ 1.5v for this price, would be rude not to :p

I tried tightening the timings but they wouldn't budge. I stuck with the XMS3..

Here is a post from bhavv in another thread..

It didnt happen did it?

The best mine manage is 9-8-8-15-100-1T with a huge 1.65v, even though they do 9-9-9-24-100-1T with just 1.3v. Thats why I stuck my 2 Gb geil modules with elipda chips back in that do 1600 Mhz Cas 6 @ 1.6v.

Ver 5.11 Vengeance sticks are the good ones - those are listed as either Cas 8 1600, Cas 9 1866, or Cas 10 2000, you should make sure that you only buy vengeance ram with those specifications to get the good sticks.

I made a huge mistake buying mine, I hope other people realize that the Ver 2.12s wont ever manage lower than Cas 9, nor 1866 Mhz before buying them.

hmmm should i be regretting my purchase?!

No because in real world performance you wont notice a thing.

I ran my ram at the rated 9-9-9-24 1T specs and have managed to get 7-8-8-18 1T out of it. (not this RAM on offer btw)

Its made no difference what so ever to me apart from the benchmark scores have increased slightly.

Just plug it in, boot up and be happy. :D

were there only a handful available of both items?

I was thinking about getting this particular ram but after reading the review/s plus lack of availability when I was looking few weeks back, I decided against them and in the end settled on the cas8 vengeance(£58 for 8gb kit tho not from here) as I also got the ocuk h2flo for £37(did think about the blue cas9 vengeance on offer for £40 the other week but didn't due to the colour, if black would have bought 2).
