D'oh! Was it this exact model? If so, did you at least claim your free games with the card?
Yeah, exact model that was on TWO, ordered it on tuesday night.
The gold tickets were emailed to me and my dad confirmed that the cards had arrive home yesterday(currently at uni accommodation)

I've got a question about the video card, actually two:
Does it come with Never Settle: Reloaded plus Never Settle Forever - as in with Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, Crysis 3 and Bioshock Infinite aswell as the Radeon Gold Award with three games from NSF?
And to my understanding from reading this forum the new R9 series will get this same card(rebranded) with just a new bios(is this true?) but what model will it be R9 280 or R9 270x?

I'm interested in buying one of those, but I'd like to know the answers to those questions!
Thanks.

Will the fan controller override the settings I'm using in Asrock Xtreme Tuning Utility?

Not 100% clear how this controller works but I want it!

1. You get the Never Settle Forever Gold, so you can choose 3 of the following: Saints Row 4, Tomb Raider 2013, HitMan: Absolution, Sleeping Dogs, Deus EX, Sniper Elite, DMC, Farcry 3, Farcry:Blood Dragon, Dirt3, or Dirt Showdown

2. And I don't know, Gibbo would be best to answer this :) I'll give him a nudge, unless he beats me to this reply.

1. You only get what it says in the product description under the buy button which is a Golden Ticket: Choose 3 games from AMD.
2. R270X shall be 7950 equivalent, which is a 7950 re-flashed and would be similar price -/+ £15

Thanks again :) .

Edit: Wait actually that makes no sense, how come the R9 270x is a 256bit 2GB card, if it's just a simple bios flash? Are you sure?

Hi there

Actually you are spot on.

R270X is a crippled 7950, 3GB down to 2GB and 384-Bit reduced to 256-Bit.

Right I am putting my 7950 prices up. ;)

In short the stack is this:-

R260X - £100-£120
R270X - £155-£175
HD 7950 3GB - £170-£200 at OcUK, approx £250 elsewhere
R280X - £229-£249
HD 7970 GHz - £229 - £299 at OcUK, approx £300+ elsewhere
R290 - :p
R290X - :p

My mistake I looked at my product stack and completed missed the 2GB/256-Bit on R270X, it 7950 GPU but with less RAM/Bandwidth on a lower cost solution PCB.

This means our HD 7950 and HD 7970 prices are bonkers as they are currently the same or cheaper than the new cards coming which are not as quick. Only R290 and R290X offer more performance over HD 79xx series.

HD 7990 is still the performance King!

Hi there

To make the HIS even more attractive you now get:-
AMD Golden Ticket - Choose 3 FREE Games from AMD.
Crysis 3 - Redeem from AMD code.
Bioshock - Redeem from AMD code.

So 5 games in total and AMD now have Saints Row latest game available to Golden Ticket holders. :)

New cards being more expensive but slower, unless their firmware update is magic.

Gee, never saw that coming with a rebrand.

Awesome pricing on current ones :P

Because just like the 670/680 deals the old cards are now EOL and our prices are because we make killer deals and were able to move the pricing way below the price where they should sit.

Look at our competitors:-

HD 7990 - £530 and even £600 upwards at most competitors
HD 7970 - Most are £275 and even over £300
HD 7950 - Most are above £200

OcUK are the catalyst in moving prices down, we pushed, we got, our competitors tried to follow, some partially succeeded and others have fallen flat on their faces. :)

When the deals are gone, they are gone, just like the 670/680 deals. Then it shall be the new stock at the prices they are whether people like it or not, NVIDIA being a prime example of this, GTX 760, GTX 770, GTX 780 and Titan have not moved in price even now the cheap 670/680 deals are gone as GTX 7xx series sales are increasing now 6xx has sold out.
