how did you know I got paid today, and that my current monitor runs unfathomably hot and burns artefacts into itself if left on? :p

trying to convince myself not to, but it's damn tempting (if anyone wants to help me justify it, feel free :D )

i have the WD, fantastic monitor, you wont be dissapointed and if you are just DSR it :D

not too familiar with their range, but as far as I can make out, the difference between WD and WB is LED versus CCFL, is that right? does this make much difference?

I am kinda overdue a monitor upgrade, but not sure if this is too much, both in price of itself, and the second 670 I would possibly see the need for down the line! would also require a major reshuffle of deskspace to fit in, as my 24 is snuggly nestled in the alcove on my desk.......but.......more pixels.....tempting!

Edit: also, 6ms response on this, is that fast enough for all gaming use? I'm unsure whether I'd benefit more from the increase in pixels, or a 1080 res monitor with sub-2ms response.

Thanks for taking your time to aid my indecisive mind :)

I'd buy it if I didn't just receive a new monitor and complete pc build yesterday, I'll upgrade to one in the future though!

That monitor is seriously tempting! Shame about only a two year warranty though. Does anybody know if OcUK would deal with the whole two year warranty or do we need to deal with Hazro (not heard good things about their customer services)?

After reading this thread, not too sure now!

Picked one up from store earlier and been having little play with it this afternoon and am very impressed overall. No dead pixels, fantastic colours and brightness once calibrated. Out of the box settings are good but the brightness is set a bit too high. Anti-glare coating is very good too. My main gripes with it are it feels cheap and plastic which I can live with but the stand is very poor and doesn't tilt. Overall a worthy upgrade from a 24" TN panel.

- Uses DELL U2711 Panel

Which is actually an LG panel :). Does anyone know how good this monitor is for gaming? I'm using a 23" LG IPS monitor which is good, but i still notice a bit of ghosting/motion blur with some games and the AG coating is a bit OTT (as with most Dell IPS monitors). I'm still trying to decide between a large IPS panel or a 120hz TN panel as an upgrade.
