Samsung’s F2 Series EcoGreen Drive (F2EG) is the ideal high capacity drive for green computing environments. The new eco-friendly hard drive, F2EG is designed to meet demand for high performance devices with lower power consumption. Samsung’s EcoGreen F2 makes it possible to design storage systems with the right balance of high capacity, fast performance and energy conservation. Samsung F2EG has the world’s best areal density at 5400RPM rotation speeds. High density means more bits pass under the head faster, and it improves the drive performance. Samsung employs an advanced data recording technology, which brings the next generation technology into today’s single disk platform, enabling Samsung’s new 5400RPM drives to perform at current 7200RPM drive speeds. The internal SysMark test results confirms that F2EG performs as same as 7200RPM drive speeds, and even 10% faster than other green drives.

Still it doesn't make sense.. Going from RM -> DPD costs you money, you would just do it in two orders.

The problem your failing to see is this:-

Previous TWO price was £129.99 +VAT
Previous regular price was £131.69 +VAT

Current offer price is £119.99 +VAT, add shipping of £7.25

That means even with shipping the price is £127.24 which is cheaper than our TWO pricing has been and substancially cheaper than our regular price.

So your still saving even with shipping added.

It's extremely difficult from their point of view to implement free shipping for any of them.

They either have a higher price, and offer it with "free shipping", but this method means non forum users are put off by the price being higher than competitors, as competitors wouldnt even mention shipping till the checkout.

..or they have a stunning price, with postage (free shipping isnt free, they're just paying for it..so effectively its knocking another chunk off the price) which means they can charge even lower, without having to worry about covering themselves on postage. This method looks more appealing for non forum users.

Paying postage sucks balls when you're used to having it free, but as said - it still works out cheaper. If it means so much to you, make a seperate order for non-free shipping items

For example a certain giant store than rhymes with e-bay wants £140.67 +VAT for these and you also have to pay shipping from them too if you want it next day.

The price on OcUK is pretty damn good to be honest.

I find the service here is much better than the other mentioned store. I used to go there without thinking till I found Overclockers
