Tempting to give the GTX470 a try but with the 6 series just around the corner...

I can tell you now the 6 series launching in coming 3 weeks won't outperform a GTX 470, might come close but not faster and probably not much cheaper if at all.

That sounds disappointing for those of us waiting for 6*** series, I hope you are wrong, because if you aren't I will be sticking with my 5850.

Your gonna be sticking with your 5850!

Though in mid November there will be some faster ATI cards launching, then you might upgrade but those will be a pretty penny too.
