Alright guys.

The Mrs has tasked me with a challenge.. hence why I'm here passing it on to you guys! We've been working from home since last March and it's likely we won't return to the office this year. She's currently suffering on a Surface whilst I'm here on my OCUK pre-built rig and 2x 24" monitors :(

We've decided it's time to buy a little rig with 2x 20/21" monitors. I must stress this doesn't have to be "fancy" on the inside. Basic is an understatement. She doesn't want the usual normal sized black case - something small and white or silver. Quite like the Raijintek Metis Plus case, so let's start with that.

I've had a look on the tinterwebs and either an i3 or a Ryzen 3/5 look more than enough on the face of it? SSD, Windows, Wireless network card as we're not running an ethernet cable to her office room, maybe a basic GFX card?

There is no budget per-se but as cheap as possible.. ~£400 for the rig and an extra ~£200 for both monitors would be about right? Around there anyway.

So yeah. Fire away!

That looks good actually. If I was to add a basic GFX Card though?

You could but why, see how the system performs you can add a gpu at any time.

I have gone for 16gb of ram becsuse only 2 slots on the motherboard.

Is 500gb ssd enough ?

Psu is budget unit.

That's fair enough. 500gb is plenty enough!

The cpu is out of stock as well so you mite have to consider your options as there are no mitx motherboard in stock.

Hmm. Maybe worth changing the case then.. Maybe something like Raijintek STYX - WINDOWED - WHITE MICRO-ATX CASE? Internals are quite a bit bigger by the looks - that'll open up more options no?
