todays games

I agree, there are very few games I feel like I'm getting my moneys-worth from like I could with some older games. There are of course a few exceptions and these are generally the games I like the most, the most recent one being Fallout 3 which I've clocked over 50 hours of play and still haven't finished it. I'm also really looking forward to Dragon Age - it should be a long game, so if it even half as good as Baldur's Gate 2 (which it is the "spiritual successor" for) I'll love it.

Only game I have played recently that I actually enjoyed was Dead Space. Mainly because I had heard nothing about it at all and was just very impressed all the way through.

Far Cry 2 is just boring, lots of potential for modders but AI sucked monkey nuts and the mission system/story is just total pap!

Fallout 3, only played for about 6 hours but just couldn't get into it at all, but I haven't heard great things about this either.

RA3, well, its an ok game but it has the graphics of Freedom Force Vs the 3rd Reich so I couldn't really get into it.

Modern games are too easy compared to games like Dizzy for instance, now that was a very simple but difficult game!

i agree.

i played C&C3 almst exclusively last year and i never got bored...

Far Cry 2 as well has a LOT to do. sure it's repetitive, but you most certainly will not finish the game in 1 sitting.

If you want realism, JOIN THE MILITARY

fixed...

yep, hate it, i got it a week before it was released...

the thing i hate is checkpoints.... if i come in and kill everyone in checkpoint, drive 1 min up to next corner, drive back, they have respawned!!!!
considering you drive around all the time this is booring...

how it should be = once youve killed everyone and "taken control" of a checkpoint, your faction now controls it, you have free pass through it, and enemies who chase you through it will be engaged....

mabye randomly convert friendly checkpoints to enemy but like 1 for every 2 hours of gameplay. and on the map it will say who has control... (not to mention the rest of the game sucks aswell, but thats why i stopped playing it before it was officially released

That is the problem though, you do missions for both factions AND the rebels! I know you are a merc but this would get you killed in real life! You should just pick a side and then fight for them.

And why have I spent hours swimming and boating about but I've never yet seen a single crocodile?
