today's question (not strickly folding related)

As of thursday I'll be the owner of yet another PC (P3 in a coolermaster ATC-620c-SX1 media case) which makes 4 - the 1 Ghz server, the 1.2 Ghz tualatin pc, the 805 pc and the new p3.

Was just after a media case to move 805 into (need baby friendly floor) but case has complete system in it (only £18 :D ) now need mATX mobo for it - was thinking of a conroe compatable board, but then why stop there.....

sell it all and get a conroe paying the difference (mATX conroe boards are not that great at present but a few of intrest on horizon)
or sell it all buy a ATX lascala and flat screen (I've a 21" CRT) and move current 805 wholesale into it and bank the differance any thoughts?

Second option will probable result in some spair parts hitting the sticky as their resale cost not worth the effort (will need every penny with first option).

only 805 is on - all others are just taking up space (electric bill = 1PC x 24h)
Folding wise the conroe will out crunch the 805 easy, but is it worth it, don't usually get cutting edge tech as it's not best bang for buck, and now on single income with my wife looking after son full time.... Think I've answered own question.

strangly the conrow is good bang for buck atm as the 6300 is a uber clocker and beats all the amd chips into a hat (for the moment, and yes I AM an AMD fan ta)

current best bang for buck (for me) is don't upgrade, and sell old stuff, get a cheap mATX board that takes my 805 and put it into Coolermaster. job done.
But for extra £50 on mobo I've got upgrade options (and better chipset)

However if my wife like the look of the lascala cases more than the coolermaster then just get case, move rig, and sell other stuff (should be able to referb coolermaster and sell for way over £18 :D )
