Hey all,

Today had baking temperatures, and my PC reflected this. CPU at power up was at its normal idle temp on other days (at cold) and graphics cards at power up was at its normal gaming temp. Have boosted CPU and gfx card fan speed to get on top of temps. Hows your temps doing?

Christ almighty, stop press ... its warm outside, so our CPU temps are up a couple degrees celcius !!

Sorry for the bashing OP but it's in jest:D
Threads like this makes me laugh and gives me hope at the same time. Sometimes I think that liking PC's etc makes me nerdy, but then a thread like this reminds me just how much worse other people are :p

Ye im thinkin of goin WC in my next build, but i have to ask:

Is it TOTALLY silent?

Does it have fans on the main cooler that give out a load of heat?

Sorry if this is a brief thread hijack =<

Of course not, pumps make the *slightest* amount of noise and so do slow turning fans.

Even if it was it wouldn't matter, you'd only be able to hear your hard disks and power supply over it.

You need to read up.

I only asked because my fan-cooled-case makes the room as hot as hell, and i suppose i meant significantly audible rather than silent. + I am attempting to read up, but its all a bit difficult to take in being in the middle of exams :P

Your room will still get hot yeah as the energy has to dissipate into the air at some point.

Aye, and you'll find a HDD accessing noise is much more annoying than a whirring fan.

well my wife left the heating on 30 when i was at work last week

ran orthis whilst waiting for it to cool down (was on 32) system still fine

My old seagate barracuda is pretty silent tho ;D

+ I'm not fussed about the temps on my 3800+ anymore, it wont be lasting very long :D

My CPU temps are 8-10 above what they should be, graphics are 6 degrees. Spec in sig, yes the Wavemasters' airflow really is poor :(

That said, i'm getting air con in my bedroom. The PC, Surround sound and Dual screens are adding a lot of extra heat :(
