Anyway was just sat on toilet having a think (as you do)

If they ever brought out some kind of simulator what put you right into the game ,as if it was real,your actually the character, would you dare play any game like Resident Evil/Silent Hill/AVP's/Doom and so on?

i think i would even tho i would probably have to have a lot a therapy after

and do any of you think this could actually happen sometime in the future? a proper one, not like the tacky ones you see at ***** fairs
 
If you actually took damage? No.

Otherwise you should still be able to determine reality and virtual-reality even when you're in the game.
 
Well to the simulator you take damage but not take actual real damage

I got made to watch a film called "Storm Breaker" the other day which i ended up enjoying, whats about a simulator what takes you to places like prehistoric times, where you actually in your own world, so i guess thats whats made me think of this
 
I was discussing something similar with my gf this afternoon, we we're watching those nutter red-bull pilots defying death around the O2 arena. I *might* consider doing that in a game, these looney-tunes do it for enjoyment.

silly nutty-pilots.
 
It'd be pretty cool, but we're miles off that sort of tech at the moment. Sort of like Futurama where they had those virtual reality suits that took them into the internet, that episode was cool. :)

Yeah, I'd love to. If it was completely realistic it'd be very weird at first, but you'd get used to the fact that nothing's going to happen to you.

If it had safety protocols then yes i would, it would be the closest thing to a holodeck you could get and the only way you would ever experience certain things so it would be mad not to, fear is a healthy thing even when you dont need it!!!

edit: would like to play new something like resident evil frop first pirson view in those. but probably after 30 min of play u get motion sickness and die of hart atack as zombies would scare you to much :D

Remember the VR in Red Dwarf? :D

I fear the groinal attachment would be the most popular addon for this system. :p
