Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 4: LockDown Demo

Feels like counter strike within a building. This is what i expected would happen.

Guns have no feel and no recoil, the grenades aimer is dreadful and i really dont knwo whether i want to buy it or not, I think id buy it and play it for 5 mins then be back on BF2.

RVS required a lot of skill to play it at a high standard, this doesnt feel that way.

I meant its got similar gameplay, all rambo and no tactics. Shoot first, think later.

I dont know why, but i do get a certain CSS/UT2004 feeling when im on it. Its lost the edge it had, and has became just another game.

The thing is when you say its nothing like CSS, its deends how you look at it. CSS is made out to be unrealistic, but fun, whereas rainbow 6 has always had at least an element of realistic feel to it, and this just doesnt, hence why a lot of peopel are saying it feels like CSS.

RVS was really buggy and technically a bad game, but it has that X factor that I have never stumbled onto again since RVS. CSS adn BF2 are really good games, but in comparison to RVS, they look tiny.

Lockdown got way too much hype and people were expecting too much from n00BI. I dont know whats scarier, the fact that this came out on the console first, or that UBI felt this was acceptable for a name in the rainbow 6 series.

damn, ive not played it yet but u guys are slagging it, I loved the demo of Ravenshield, played the multiplayer for ages, it felt different, I had never played a game before which had laods of different tools like the claymores and all the different granades. It was different and new and very fun :)

Tell me, how fast do the guys run on this version?

Edit: woo go gamershell.com!!! I just got Empire at war and Lockdown downloading at decent speeds :P

They run about the same speed as the guys run on BF2, but they walk at about the walking pace in SWAT4. The differnce is too extreme for my liking.

I too was, and still am a lover of RVS (not that i play it much). I played it from the day of release and was hooked for over 3 years straight, and didnt play anything but RVS. Probably part of the reason i am realy disappointed with this.

The thing was with the old rainbow 6 games was that you didnt need to be in a clan match to do teamwork, its as if it happened naturally from player to player. It was very easy to work as a team with someone you have never played with before, kind of like a good squad in BF2. In CSS you only plan tactics if you are in a competitive match or something, and thats how lockdown feels.
