Was it the Tom Tom Database or the PocketGPSworld Database!?!...

From what I've heard the Tom Tom one is crap!.. and not worth the money/Memory space!... The pGPSw database on the other hand... I've yet to find one its not got!... (I want Free updates for life!! :( )

It was the pocketGPS database and it was the month before they started charging for it to give you an idea of how long ago it was.

I'd go for Tom Tom 1 myself, and have a sat nav unit as well as a speed camera database.

I just don't think the superiority of RA or OB2 units for notifying you of speed cameras is worth it when you don't get satellite navigation.

I've found the pocketgpsworld database to be spot on the last few months since they started charging £20 a year.

ive had a tomtom go for some time now and haved owned a variety of speed camera gps systems (drive smart, RA2 etc etc) and to be honest on short everyday journeys there is no need to have both tomtom and camera gps system running at same time.

i have got so used to actually seeing the camera locations on the tomtom maps (as a picture) i dont like using a dedicated gps camera system anymore.

last week i did a trip from Manchester to Scotland using tomtom go with database and it did very well indeed, i dont think it missed any cameras (as far as i can remember)

personally i wouldnt go for a dedicated camera system that needs £££ per year to renew.

if i was to go for one, i would go for one that has free lifetime updates, only a few offer this.

like i have said on everyday journeys though your own city theres no need to use a RA2 as you know where all the fixed camera site are. Plus its just more kit to take out and carry on you while shopping.

so my advice would be just go for the tomtom and use the database, this way you will have sat nav and a sort of 98% accurate database:)
