Thanks folks, I've seared it first in the pan and I've placed it in the oven at gas mark 7 as the above post suggested.
I do have a meat probe thing so what temperature should I be looking at for a medium rare?
Whilst I love BBQ myself there's absolutely no reason you can't get an awesome steak by cooking it properly in a pan![]()
I find bone in steaks a little difficult to do in a pan and getting the meat flat on the surface can be more tricky depending on the cut
Fair point. That's why you also need a Searzall![]()
BBQ makes bone in better in my opinion ��
