Tomb Raider 2013 PC button problem!

Hi I am new to this forum but have been a PC gamer since the original Doom!
I have just got Tomb Raider 2013 from Steam but have hit a problem when fighting off the wolves in the cave with what button to press when the red hand icon appears and keep getting killed!!
I have played this on PS3 but I spend more time on my PC and it was on offer on Steam!
I have not found a proper walkthru for PC as yet, can anyone please advise, Cheers

I believe that means you need to press interact key which in pc gaming usually E sometimes F

I omitted to say the sequence of the fight scene entails the letters E and F appear with clear instruction but then the red hand appears after! so i assume this is a
different action to perform! I will have to ask someone who has already played this on PC but thanks for your reply.

Did you try continuously hitting E

I have but maybe I have not perfected the exact timing required , I'll have another shot. Thanks.
