tomb raider anniversary help

our lass is playing this but has got stuck at the point were she has to kill the centurians,i.e use the grapple to take there shields of them,but she has tried the xbox controller and the keyboard and there is no way the grapple gets hold of the shields to take them away and thats when they are stood still,any advice as surely someone has completed it,cheers for any advice

Heh, this one annoyed the hell out of me as well, You don't pick up the shield, you turn it to face the centaur, and when they look at you, you reflect it back against them to turn them to stone!

yes but you have to get it of them first,and no matter how she trys she cant use the grapple to take it from them,thats what we are trying to find out how to do it,and thanks for trying to help m8

Shoot at the centaurs to fill the rage meter. They'll then run off and rise onto their hind legs, preparing either for the "stare of death" or a charge. When the screen blurs, roll and shoot when the reticle turns red (just like the T-rex part).

They'll then stand in a daze, showing the ring side of their shields, then just grapple it to the ground.

Ice Globe ive done that aswell m8,the grapple will not take hold of the shield even when it is showing the ring on the inside,god dame game,glad im not playing it or i would have smashed my pc by now,

I honestly can't think of anything else which there is to do.

Other than, make sure your close to the shield when grappling. Press the action key as soon as you try and grapple. Make sure the grapple key is still assigned to a button. Try and grapple without moving. Make sure the ring is pointing towards you before you grapple.

Have you tried from a load point further back?

Its been a while since I did this bit (and I did it with an xbox pad so it does work) but do you have to grapple on to the shield then pull back the left stick to pull the shield towards you ?

I seem to remember having a few problems here till I figured out I actually needed to lock onto the shield AND pull .
