Tomb Raider : Legend

just started playing the pc version of this game... seems ok so far but the controls are a bit carp.

anyway, the one thing that is driving me insane is draging boxes/crates. how the hell are you supposed to do this? it seems to be entirely down to luck if the crate goes where you want it to. i mean how can you drag left/right - a la soul reaver? (as if you were strafing with the crate)

i just can't work out how to get the crates where i want them at all. VERY frustrating.

I tried it with the keyboard at first and could't play it at all using the combo, so just plugged my ps2 pad in and it was great.

tried it with both ps2 pad+usb adapter and mouse/keyboard.
finding the latter to be MUCH easier.

anyway, crate advice?

and what the hell are you supposed to do about the one-handed grab/pathetinc clawing at wall thing? can you do anything at all, or is it just there to say "haha! our crap controls have just raped you! now watch as you plumet to your death"?

i much prefer playing TR games on the PC, but its what im used to using, managed to complete TR 1 2 3 4 AoD but not played Legend a lot =[

TR:AOD was pitiful. TR:L is only [slightly] better...

7 (legend) is kind of like tomb raider... only without lara croft.. or decent gameplay.

in fact i'd say tomb raider legend is tomb raider, only dumbed down for the xbox generation.

and i'm guessing you never played LR/C all the way through?

LR was one of the hardest games i've ever played... and i never once had to worry about lara not doing what i wanted.

ok, i have to admit it gets better the more you play.

anyway how do you shoot gas canisters/barrels etc? i can't seem to lock on to them.

If you have an nvidia card disable AA and use all the other next gen options as AA with all the next gen options messes the gfx up.

i'm on a ti4600 here, so probably best not to bother with the next gen stuff!

as for framerate, well i havn't noticed any issues at all yet, so if it aint broke...

how do you check what framerate you are getting? :confused:
