this is mainly for anyone who has played the game on pc, after finishing the little mission in the mansion you spawn out at sea and have to dive to an under water building.

the problem I'm having is in the area where you have to break one of the dragon statue heads and then place the blocks on the other side.

every time I try to put the blocks down they move off to the other side of the room like they where pushed by the force, anyone know how to fix this?

I cant progress past this point because of the glitch ...

There is a patch available apparently, make sure you have that.

I assume you mean this part?

Never played it, but that may help (starts at 4m:25)

Erm, how long does it take to get to that area? i have the game but haven't played it, if i can get there pretty quickly il run to it and see if it's reproducing on mine too, or you can send me your save and il see if it happens to me.

If the patch doesn't work of course.

figured out the problem it's a framerate bug pal, i was running at 600+fps and it was happening. I put vsync on at tripple buffer and now they don't do it :)

Glad you got past those blocks though was it vsync for you too? i instantly missed the 600fps and watching laras legs move 4x the speed they should.

seems it was v-sync, the one thing we're always told we don't need. enabled triple buffering aswell .

Yeah to be fair i don't think that when this game was made they anticipated the level of hardware advancements that would be made so probably didn't code it to accept such crazy performance figures.

Yeah it is a glitch. I had to restart the level to make the grapple work pulling the dragon head off.

edit- I didn't know this!

I only really thought to try it as i have played a couple of old games where framerate has directly affected stuff and caused all sorts of weird bugs, one had a day/night cycle that was supposed to be on around a 20 min turnover but was instead more like 30 seconds.
