I'm stuck on TRL at the boss level with the tesla balls and the weird floaty, fiery mostery thing.
I activate the 4 switches and shoot the 4 tesla balls with the tesla gun and then I am supposed to grapple the bit of the sword (which I think is directly above the gun).
A guide I am using when I get stuck says double tap the grapple button and job's done once the forcefield is up all the way around.
It just doesn't seem to grab the sword fragment, am I supposed to aim it? Can you aim it as you can with the guns?

Apologies as I haven't played this for ages, but are you referring to the final boss in the game?
No about 50% of the way through.
You've just been reunited with "Amanda" and she unleashes the spirit monster thing that killed your party in the flashbacks in the tomb some years before.
You are in some russian laboratory with toxic gases and electrically charges metal poles and things before you get there.

Think I know where you are now. Hope you used the shortcut that misses out half of the level ;)

Anyway, try watching this video, as it can explain it miles better than i ever could. :)

If this is the boss your on about totally forget about it doing any amount of damage as it totally ignores you for some reason - just concentrate on moving the ball efforts :)

Ahhh nice one :)
She aims and I guess hits the grapple button instead of the fire gun trigger.

try and get the balls swinging - e.g. pull it up once and then let go, as it swings towards you pull it up and i'll swing even further. If you do this fast you can get all tesla things connected a matter of seconds.

I can do that bit all right it is grappling the sword fragment that isn't happening for me. I'll depress the right thumbstick to bring up the aiming reticule and fire the grapple.
Hopefully that's all that I'm doing wrong, unless I need to fire the gun at it?

Ah sorry, see what ya mean now :)
Just had quick look at the guide i used and you need to double tap grapple to finish the level.

Coolio I got it :)
I simply shot each of the ball things 3 or 4 times in rapid succession and the forcefield was up.
Then I aimed the grapple hit X and then Y and it was done :D

Now I'm stuck in cornwall at the king arthur exhibition.
I had to grapple a counterweight to get the door to lift but it only lifts a little before it drops down and there's not enough time to get under it :(
Nothing to prop it up either.
I like puzzles but not frustrating things like the door.

I found this boss really easy, it was the next one I found hard. Not figuring out how to kill it but avoiding getting wasted myself. The level you just did was Kazakhstan I think and the next is England. Great game too, loved every minute of it.

Stand further away from the door and grapple, it pulls the door open further, then run and forward roll under it.

Ahhhh OK I'll try that as soon as I regain control of my TV. Why do women like Eastenders ?
I was trying to get closer and closer to the door to shorten the distance to move, it doesn't seem logical than you need to be further away to make it open higher. But if it works it is good.

I am liking this game a lot :)

o i remember that boss as well :), took me a while to figure it out. yes i am slow
The watersnake boss?
I've read the guide and I think I am going to need a while to kill it.
The time delay between changing from pistols to grapple is so long that the snake gets me before I get the cage down.
I've never played a tombraider game through before, I'm enjoying this though, getting to recognise the puzzles better too.

That snake is frustrating but still for me TRL is my fav 360 game fun wise.

Thanks to you I may even borrow my nephews and replay it :D

The snake annoyed me LOADS. But i love the game, so many cool puzzles!

I freely admit to find the first gold statue I had to look it up. I wouldn't have found that in a million years. The puzzle to find it is so random in action that I doubt many would do the half walk on walk off.
