Yes, and it's great. It works really well and the upgrades to the app since it was released have turned it into a decent and fully featured satnav solution.
Thanks for that I just bought the tomtom mount specifically for the ipod touch as this has a GPS receiver built in so my 2nd generation ipod touch will work with it.
I assume the live traffic service won't work in my case though.
I personally don't have it on my iPhone but one of the lads at work does and really likes it, however I won't be buying it since TomTom have been selling users driving data to the police. I know it's not in the UK but there is nothing stopping them doing the same over here.
Literally just got this last night. Tested it out today and it seems to work well for the most part. It did "lose" me at one point and thought that I was on a totally different road but it sorted itself out quickly. Also turning it off is a bit weird since you can't close it from within the app - unless someone can tell me otherwise. Also it drains battery fairly quickly.
I will be trying mine out this afternoon a 110 mile round trip to my mums, a route i know well so i can see if it does owt silly.
I was surprised to find only one male voice on it but soon sorted that out.
The speaker on the mount seems loud n clear unlike my old Panasonic GPN50 satnav.
I've been using it since it was released, and can safely say its one of the best (and best supported in terms of regular updates which actually make a difference) purchases I've made for my iPhone. Well recommended.
I just terminate it the same way as any other app, double tap for the task manager, push and hold for wiggle mode and then tap the red x.
It effectively shuts itself down after a period of inactivity anyway and I never have any battery issues because when it's in the cradle it's charging.
Well it worked well without issue and re-routed me in seconds when i deliberatly made a wrong turn. The motorway lane guidance is a good feature as my previous satnav lacked this.
Like i say i use an ipod and not an iphone so the "live services" don't apply in my case.
My only niggle is when i connect it to the dock it is unseen by the dock if the ipod is already on or in standby. I have to power it down completely and then power it up once it's connected to the dock and the dock is connected.
