Tomtom go 1005

Does anyone have one of these. I am looking to replace my failed Go 910 and like the look of the 1005 as the 5inch screen appeals to me because it will mainly be used in our Toyota Previa.
I have heard that the voice clarity it superior to other Tomtom's??.

Yes, sorry i forgot to mention in my OP that where it will be mounted it is about 3ft away and with my eyesight a 5inch screen is a better option.

I've had a 1005 for about 5 months now ... not a bad device but it still has a lot of documented issues. As usual with a new Tomtom product you feel you are testing it on their behalf.

Would I recommend the 1005 .... I guess it is better then the other devices on the market but just beware that not all the features of the device are working.

That fills me full of confidence. Maybe you should get an eyetest to make sure you meet the minimum requirements for driving?

I do meet the requirements and wear glasses to do so. I think some of you are missing the point of my OP as i was asking if anyone had a 1005.
