2. What sort of connection will the dock/cradle have?

That's what I thought - I just hoped I'd missed something, could do with it pretty soon...

It has a standard iPod / iPhone dock connector for connecting to the iPhone

I would imagine it could link via Bluetooth or via the 3.5mm headphone jack, or even a cable from the 30-pin iPod connector

Looks like another company has beaten tomtom and released a turn by turn sat nav app

Yer saw the Navisomething app for about £45 or £50 on the appstore. The main problem is there will be a flood of nav apps, now that the GPS api is open. I could do with one for my 3G incase we go on work meetings/trips.

TomTom mount has its own GPS chip and antenna for better reception

So in theory it could work on a 2G as well?
Should push the price of the bundle up remarkably :/
Tom tom must be frothing at the mouth thinking about the potential of the app store for extra maps and stuff. I can't see this being financially sensible for most people
