Hi

I've had a look around but I can't find anything so I'll put the question to you guys.

Is there a way to plan a route (itinerary) on a pc, and then transfer it to TomTom Navigator on my PDA?

I know you can use TomTom Home on the standalone units, but I can't get it to work on the PDA version.

I like planning routes down country back roads, but longer trips can get a bit confusing on the PDA screen.

Thanks
Steve

Edit: I'm using TomTom Navigator 6 if that makes any difference.

Annoyingly with TT3 you could plan an itinerary on your PDA without needing a GPS signal. So you could add in extra waypoints to make the route interesting. TT decided in their wisdom to remove the ability to do so with TT5, making you require a GPS signal for full itinerary planning.

As regards to creating one on your PC, I doubt that's possible as I'm not aware of such functionality.

It's not looking good.

I've got TomTom Home working now but you can't use any of the "My TomTom" features with the PDA version. Which is a shame as that would let me do exactly what I want.

I thought the itinerary would just be a load of co-ordinates, so don't know why it's so hard to make one using different software.

You could always plan the route in AutoRoute or something similar, save the route as an itinery file, use ITNConv to convert it, and use it on the TomTom.
