Hi, I have a TomTom 520 which allows me to put MP3 files onto an SD card.

My car only has a regular CD player and doesn't play MP3 so im forced to around 12 songs per CD rather than putting hundreds onto an MP3 disc.

Is it possible to use the TomTom as a holder for my mp3 files and connect it to the CD player to play the music through the car audio system? If there are a few ways of achieving this, which is cheapest/best...

Unless the car has a extra input such as a USB port on the h/u or audio sockets in the glove box, then it's usually not possible without buying a new unit.

Tried a sperate FM transmitter (Do you mean one on the TomTom aint working very well?) Just grab a cheapo 2gb MP3 player and Fm transmitter, or a cheap USB/MP3CD stereo?

thats a ford headunit right? (commiseration's) have a harcore google session and see if there are any leads/adapters on the back for say a CD multichanger that can be rewired to support an AUX line input ala MP3 player possibly?
