Yo all,

Basically at new years I decided I wanted to lose weight and tone up for the summer, so I dieted, mainly stuck to lean protein, fruit/veg and all that jazz and I lost like 1 stone 6 pounds pretty quickly... I went from 13'10 to 12'4 with in a couple of weeks and since then I've gone back to my old eating habits apart from being a little more cautious with what i eat, and haven't put any weight on. (y)

I've also been doing some standard exercises at home, including sit up, push ups, squats and some small weights, i'm looking a little more toned but really wanna focus on getting rid of the looseness of my "pecs" and the like ring of fat below my stomach!!!

What are you're guys tips for achieving this, i'm also gunna start hitting the diet again to try and shift a few more pounds so what to do you think an ideal weight would be for someone thats 19 and 6 foot exactly, baring in mind I don't want to be really built, just toned!

Cheeeeeeeeers,

Jack

There's no such thing as toning for a start. Secondly if you want to "firm up" you need to hit the weights and get yousrself a good weights routine. Don't be under the illusion that doing weights will turn you into Arnie as it won't, as hard as I try to I'm no where near, so don't worry a simply gym routine won't leave you hulk-like.

Not having a dig at OP here but its amazing at how many people think you can turn up to the gym and instantly look huge by lifting a couple of weights. Its mind boggling.

Back on topic :) As above really, read the sticky, get yourself a good routine and nail the diet, its the most important thing. Have those two down and you'll start to achieve the goals you want.

If you have excess fat, 'wobbly bits', you need to eat better and do more exercise to lose it.

Weight training will improve mass and how well you carry excess body fat (as well as reducing your bf%) and will allow you to burn my calories at rest.
Cardio will aid in creating a negative energy balance (which you need for fat loss), make you fitter and feel better.

In short. Eat less crap. Do more exercise. Read the god damned sticky :)

Ant
