Just picked this up today for the 360, after playing the demo extensively.

Anyone else got it yet? Any tips/advice etc most welcome :)

Advice: Try to get used to the controls and the different styles of skateboarding with different people. Try to master the less hard stunts first then work your way up.

I don't have real any tips but I am working my way through this game and in the top 30 now. It is a good game and I am enjoying it very much. 1 thing I would say though is don't lower the speed of your skater in the options like I did. Doing this means you cannot complete certain challenges where you need extra speed.

Cheers for the advice guys, much appreciated.

Hope I didnt make a mistake chosing this over Rainbow Six

If you are having fun with it then it doesnt matter either way :)

however if you are bored and dont wanna play it. then yeah u may have made a bad choice :D

Very good point hedge.

Always been a big fan of the THUG games, have wasted many an hour playing them on the xbox. Just hope project 8 on the 360 is even better :)

I'm in 6th spot at the moment, completed on amateur so far.

It's pretty good, it has it's faults but on the whole, if you like the series then it's all good.

Now I've got to go through everything on pro to get the different ending and get up the rankings.

As far as sick goes, I doubt I'll be going through it all again as some of the challenges on Sick are... sick :D

Cheerio

Ryan

PS

My tip would be to get both AM anD PRO ratings on each challenge as you go through the game.. save doing it all over again!

abuse the slow mo feature, it's the game's "easy mode."

It's a bit of a let down Project 8, the whole slow mo feature made the hard very easy.

The thing where you move the joysticks to do tricks is really cool though

I played a lot of Tony Hawks 2, 3 and THUG 1 on the PS2, and now I can't seem to use anything but the PS2 controller. The PS2 controller was perfect for this game in my eyes.
Maybe I will have to take the time and teach myself to play with the 360 pad, asit does look and sound like a lot of fun.

i find that too, but i played from TH2 upwards on the pc (4 was really dumb on pc tho, so skipped it)

ps2 pad was lush for it, my xbox pad (on pc) doesn't feel right for this game.. need a more solid dpad

Really enjoying this game so far, spent numerous hours on it last night.

However, finding some of it really difficult as well....dont get me wrong though, thats a good thing :)

One in particular is p***ing me off however, after you get your first sponsor (stereo i think it is, from the skate shop) theres a bear that you have to raise money for by doing manuals for a crowd in a set area.

Boy is that hard!!! Anyone any suggestions or that can tell me how you actually do that part?

Cheers

It took me a little while to do this one after I worked out what it was I was supposed to be doing. I had to go in focus mode once I'd built enough up to complete it as the combos are quite tough.

On another note, I hit #7 in the rankings last night.

*ignore*

just realised straight after posting what i was doing wrong and that you could actually throw yourself upside down :o :o
