Too good to be true?

I'm looking in to getting my first dslr and have chosen to go for the Nikon D3100.

I'm very new to the concept of something a little more than a point and shoot, and seek advice on what to look out for when buying. I've done a little bit of looking round and have found this deal

Nikon D3100 Kit AF-S 18-55mm VR Lens Digital SLR Camera $554

But something tells me it seems a bit too good to be true.
Is there something obviously missing from the package?

I've read a few reviews from people who've ordered from this site and the verdict is it seems legit.

And yes, I am in Australia.

I'm not sure if falls in to the category of competitor, but if it does please let me know and I'll take it down.

Is the D5100 really worth the extra $200+ though?
I've had a look at the added features but I'm not sure if it would be more beneficial getting the D3100 with twin lens kit for roughly the same price.

Sorry, I'm a bit clueless on these cameras

I got the D3100 and while it's a good camera, I've had it around 8 months and now upgraded to the D300. The D3100 misses a few things which I really do want from a camera; fast continuous shutter (8 vs 3 fps), internal autofocus motor, weightier feel to it (more balanced with bigger lenses), grips (handy for portrait shots). The only thing I miss from the D3100 is the slightly higher pixels, although it's extremely rare that I print any of my images out to a size where 14mpx is required ;)
