Too high temps?

Hi been playing crysis 3 on my new rig.never was into pc always ps3, well what can i say looks like the ps3 will be gathering some dust. question is i have haswell 4670k i have oc to 4.2 just worried as when playing crysis 3 my core temp hit 70c.i do have aftermarket cpu cooler, are these temps safe ??

They're safe, but a little high.

What cooler are you using?

Yep, it's ok up to 100 before it shuts down.

Im using be quite shadow rock, i understand it can run 100c but want it to last a few years

will this temp reduce the life ? Just seems weird i get good ideal temps of 23c on bench test i get 60c max but playing crysis it goes to 70c.
