my system is way too hot for my liking. On load it is running at 55. Normal running at 42. you can see specs in my sig. any suggestions? i want to go liquid cooling but i'm a noob at cooling, i don't know first thing about it and all liquid cooling kits look very expensive so i didn't want to buy and not know what to do. i don't even know if they are better than normal cooling methods and im also worried about safety cos i dont want wter spilling all over my system. Are there any walkthroughs or guides on liquid cooling? I also want to cool down my powercolor 4890 because it runs at 66 on load its way too loud even when im not playing a game. any siggestions for that?

The prebuilt kits are rubbish and worse than most if not all air cooling, dont get one.

picking a kit with the usal stuff that people have around here will get you going. idealy you are going to want too loops to cool both your gpu and cpu but you could put them in one a lot of people do

you might find that re-seating the cpu and gpu helps a lot

For added reassurance, as mentioned above, all your temps are fine. Even your GPU is well within tollerance - although if the noise level is too high in attaining that temp than try changing the stock cooler with a thrid party hsf - thats is, if you don't end up water cooling.

You could try reseating your Freezer Xtreme just incase it's not making full contact with the cpu.

+1 on temps look fine from here. Not sure about doing fan control on ATI if it's too loud, but really your temps are fine.

I have the twin turbo one on my 8800gt and its very quiet tbh.
Yep I have the S1 with no fan at all on my 8800gt and 7800gt and you can't get quieter than that! ;)

I think the twin turbo would be needed for the 4890 as I imagine it chucks out quite a lot of heat tho I don't know what wattage..
