No give it a go. If the course is really popular at a popular uni then yes it is far too late, but I would definitely give it a go. You still have the option of going through clearing.
Not sure if this helps, but I'm applying to start in September, currently offers have been made, and we have a little while to accept/decline the offers, so that should mean the unis can still accept other people and whatnot.
No problem applying now at all, I work at a University and the admin team for our school are still processing the thousands of applications. As suggested, if in doubt give them a call
Probably depends on how popular the uni is? i applied to my local uni a couple of months ago and got an unconditional offer (didn't have to go through ucas either ) so as long as the uni isn't one of the big ones i would have though you should at least have a chance of getting in (and have nothing to lose from trying?)
Yes of course you can, but as others have mentioned if you wish to apply to a popular uni you will struggle.
I was in your position a month ago and applied though UCAS, took me 2 weeks to fill in all the forms and get refernces sorted, sent it off and got 4 offers within a week.
I would advice contacting the actually uni though i did and they said the only courses that were full were social work and teaching.
