Any chance of an F1 sub forum?

It would make life easier on us Rally and Bike fans when this years racing gets started.

In your opinion..

Of course it's my opinion. I wrote it. But thanks for reminding me.

What, so you have an empty motorsport sub-forum and then a rammed f1 sub-sub-forum? What's the point.

So that people who click on the motorsports forum can view motorsport threads, and the ones that want to talk about F1 can visit the F1 part, where all the gossip is in one place.

Many other forums have sub-forums for the most popular topics.

I'm obviously out numbered here so i didn't think it would go down well.

As pointed out already, they're hardly getting shunted to page 2 before they get a chance to be seen, the front page has threads a week old on it, if people haven't bothered to post in a thread after it has been clearly visible for an entire week, perhaps the issue is in fact that no one really cares or has much to say about that subject rather than OMG TOO MUCH F1 FREDS?

Thats because they havn't started yet. The front page is probably 70% F1 and how long has the season been going now?

I knew i wouldn't get a decent response from anyone.

You have got perfectly decent responses, you just don't like them because they don't agree with you.

There is absolutely no logic in your argument beyond the fact you don't like F1, it's as simple as that.

Other motorsport is not being overwhelmed, it is perfectly visible, it is staying on the front page for days and days and that is with the F1 threads at their peak during 'launch' season. There is no issue beyond your own personal preferences.

Other forums use that system and it works. I thought it might work here.

That is my logic.

It's as simple as that.

Why is that necessary though? This is the question you struggle to answer with any logic, there is just no need to do that. Other motorsports are not getting drowned out and shunted off the front page because of F1.

Why create an extraneous half dead sub forum when this one accomodates the threads perfectly well?

It isn't necessary. It would make it easier for fans of other motorsports to see their threads.

What does it matter to you how old the threads are? It would be no extra hastle for you to click F1 instead of Motorsports.

Popularity dear boy, just that.

Some people will fight to the end for the opinion to be accept as fact...

For me I like all motorsports, therefore I would find it incredibily annoying to click on each 'sub-forum' for threads on each specific motorsport, I knew the first time I saw the motorsport sub-forum that it would be more F1 than anything else, simply because more people like it here and all over the world. if i don't want to read about F1 then I won't click on the thread, simple really.

As somebody else said let's have a BMW sub-forum for 'fox's' BMW love, I too find it annoying in motors where every tenth thread is a BMW masturbation fest, but I don't click on it.:D:;)

I'm not complaining about whats in the threads because i don't click on them. And i don't think there should be a sub-forum for each individual sport. I'm just saying that the overwhelming majority of threads in here are F1 threads, so it would make life easier on everyone if they had their own place to go.

As said, there are week old threads on page 1. If you have not had traffic to a thread in a week, then this forum might not be the best place to be posting about it!

I'm more concerned about when all the other motorsports seasons start and they are getting pushed out because people are posting about what colour underpants are banned from F1 this year.
