Too many games!

Recently I have been guilty of buying beyond my needs when it comes to games. The decision has been made to stop buying until I have exhausted my current list of games.

I know there are a few I just won't play, due to not being my cup of tea, but there are many games I think are fantastic that I just haven't given the time to (Mass Effect, Fallout 3 and other highly rated games.)

I think its due to being busy with Uni and other things but still buying games I like the look of.

Anyone else found themselves in this situation? I am thinking that maybe I would be better renting in future.

yeah I'm kind of in the same boat, I have games from 10 years ago still that I haven't finished. I'm happy that I've started buying some from steam now, as they take up less space.

I'm exactly the same, OP. I have about 20 unplayed games in my collection and the wife has recently put a stop to my game buying antics because I'm not playing them for ages.
I am slowly working my way through though.

Yep im another in the same boat. My unplayed games stack keeps getting bigger and the games that i want to buy also keeps getting bigger as well.

Im having to become very choosy when it comes to games at the moment otherwise i will never finish anything. Not really a downfall but it has been a really good couple of years for us gamers with loads of excellent releases out

Think im guilty of this also, when i bought my 360 about 18 months ago, there was such a great back catalogue that i ended up buying so many games on the cheap that i really never gave a chance to as their was always something a little shinier around the corner.

always meant to go back to the likes of mass effect, Halo 3 and Fable 2 but find it quite difficult to get back into a game when its not been touched in a year or so.

It didnt help that i accidently erased all my saved games around xmas time, dont think i have the patience to start many of them from scratch again.

Bit of a gaming slump for me atm. Nothing great out (that I haven't played). Mafia II will be out soon, so I guess that will tide me over!

i keep getting drawn in on 'big' games like ME2, Red Dead and Dragon Age. Especially with dragon age and its modding tools, i can lose weeks playing with toolset

nah i always have around 2 max to complete thats it, so at the moment im playing gow2 and monkey island 2, i then have stuff like forza , sf etc are what i call pup games (pick up and play) and arent ones that need completing as such.

after iv done gow2 il go buy splitsecond and do that , it means games are cheaper!

I find it best to have about 3-5 games on the go and to avoid conflicting games. If I try and play 2 FPS games at the same time, I'll side with my favourite game and forget how to play the other game properly.

Got my PS3 a few months ago and bought 1 or 2 games, but still seem to spend all my PS3 time on BFBC2 though (though still not very good at it).

Got BFBC2, Tekken 6, Soul Calibre 4, Little Big Planet, GTA 4, Resistance Fall of man (or something), Battlefield 1943, Wipeout HD, Fifa 09 , and Pro Evo 2010.

Only the first and last have really been played.

Ever need anyone to join up with, send me a FR.

It's pretty much my only MP shooter, but have nobody in my (admittedly short) friends list who is playing it.

Genuine "Billy-no-mates" here :)

Yup, recently sold a boxload of old games and have seen there's a load I haven't evewn touched yet, and don't mention my steam library :/

Just got a 360S having resisted the poor quality hardware - went and got about 200 quids worth of second hand titles (basically everything I didn't have already have, and that was in the metacritic top 20 or so).

Good times.
