I hope this is the right forum section. The family Epson inkjet printer (C42) has given up on us and needs replacing. I’ve been looking around and there’s so damn many printers on the market! Seems like thousands! Picking a new CPU seems so much easier in comparison.
My old man has a budget of £70-100 and has a few simple requirements.
He will be mostly printing with black ink but does require colour
Not bothered about high quality photo printing – no need
Wants it to be reliable. Not weird driver issues with garbled printouts or other funny business.
Reasonable economy.
Copy function would be a bonus.
With our Epson problems he’s reluctant to use them again but it’s an old printer so maybe things have changed in their reliability/driver department. E.g. the Stylus DX6000 had caught my eye
Anything to narrow down the choice would be a great help. Thanks
