Hi guys,

do you think there's such thing as backing up too much?

Listening to IT support podcasts businesses are backing upto the onedrive (cloud) using software to then backup the cloud (office365/exchange emails) incase of ransomware etc and also keeping a back on an external hard drive not connected to the network?

Just wondering if any IT admins here go to those lengths to backup there clients data? I see so many people just working off onedrive thinking they are safe.

There are products to backup M365 tenancy contents just in case.

Likewise many companies will have a tertiary backup which is largely offline/air gapped or immutable, not always everything but documents which are the crown jewels or need to be permanently preserved for legal reasons.
