Guys,
Currently using a LG W2261V which is a decent TN 1920x1080 60Hz monitor. I have the upgrade itch but wondering if its the wrong time to upgrade at the moment with 4K still being quite fresh.
I'm unsure on whether to go for another 1080 monitor like the Dell U2414H & risk not seeing a big upgrade (same res as current LG), or a 27 inch 2560x1440 such as the EIZO EV2736W which is on special for £400 right now.
I'm running nVidia & seen there are problems with the Dell in particular & colour range using HDMI. I would like to upgrade to Display Port, am I going to have any issues using this type of connection? On any monitor using DP for that matter?
I sit quite close to my screen so a little worried 27 inches might be too big for a PC monitor, which I guess also rules out the 29 inch extra wide monitors that look so sexy!!
I only use my PC for gaming & web browsing so considered a 144Hz model like the AOC G2460FQ for £180, but I can't weigh up whether an IPS all rounder like the Dell would be better suited.
What to do?
