Up a Tree...
hey guys,

just thought id share small pics of the wallpapers I quickly put together for work,

nothing special.
didnt spend a lot of time on them, just taken into camera raw, bit of blur, and darken'd in area's, then black and white them.

I just love my mini :)
dont have anytime to take pics,
but we had a power cut today at home, so I went for a drive.

going to use these as my background wallpaper, and screensaver :)

The ones in your first post are generally excellent. The ones in the second post i'm not so fussed for. Did you use a nifty-fifty?

Love 1-5 but like the other guys said, second batch isn't on the same level (edit: although seven is quite cool with the machinery in *** background so I take that back :) ).

yea they are a Tad dark,
there was a sunset, and my car was in front of it.

But, they not perfect, far from it. (just a lot better than the boring Mac's wallpaper's)

and whats a Nifty Fifty Scam? never heard of it?

nift fifty = 50mm f1.8 .
The shots are pretty good and as mentioned above the second lot are a little dark. really love the mini as well.

Not sure why but the mini in the first set looks like it's a model - poss too much blurring of the background.
I think in that shot (and if you take into account the subject) it works really well.

I thought it was a nifty-fifty because of the 'weird' depth-of-field. Someone posted some car shots taken wiht a nifty-fifty and it had a nice quality to it due to being taken at f1.8. What you've done with PS is quite similar, and i like it

I didnt want the background to be the focal point.
the main bit is my mini :)

(hence the blurred background)

Wanted them to look a bit like Top Gear pics.
but without spending ages on them.

I need to spend christmas and go through all my work anyway, then re-do my website and photo's.

The DOF looks really unnatural IMO, especially in the second one, and I don't think the dutch angles work well either.

The first is quite nice though :)

nice wide minilites...looks a nice car, miss having a mini to fix/break/fix repeat!

I see you also have top gear picture syndrome my son...

yea there 13inch split rims ;)
low profile tyres, and they really hold the road well.

its funny everyone else slows down for corners... I speed up!

And yes I love Top Gear!!!
