Yes a small amount of course but this is a lot more. I just hope it hasn’t damaged anything.
I always take a video showing the unboxing just incase. I phoned the retailer who told me to leave it to dry for 24 hours. It has cleared up a great deal from what it was already. The only other thing that concerns me is the rgb screen on the z790 Hero when touched slightly sounds like it’s sticking and coming away (hard to describe) at first I thought the plastic hadn’t been removed but it definitely has. I won’t know until tomorrow, or might leave it longer just to be safe.
It came via pallet delivery and they wrap it all in plastic also, so I’ve been told this wouldn’t have helped.
I was shocked when I first looked at it. I thought straight away “it’s going to be f….”. It’s completely dried out now and hopefully all is well. Thanks.
I did this to the places I could get to. I removed all panels and did the same and left them off. The retailer did say it was quite common. I’d never experienced it before, so panicked. I’m sort of dreading the big switch on tomorrow
This is what I was concerned about, not just the fact that it might be damaged, but also it might cause damage in the future. This is where logging it, and taking every step that has been advised by the retailer, on top of video evidence if anything were to happen down the line, as it’s under warranty for three years.
Thing is they had the pc on all morning and pretty much boxed it up and sent it out. They sent me a video of it still on just before collection. I don’t think this would have been beneficial, as it would have acted as a greenhouse, then the temperature outside and overnight etc. My main concern is corrosion and issues that might not be apparent straight away let’s say. I’ve logged everything and made them aware so that if anything happens at a later date I’m covered anyway.
