Took the plunge!

After missing out on some great deals i snapped up a deal i just had to go for, i first missed a HIS X1900XTX for £260, then missed another one MSI £300 now i just got the last one in stock which was a GeCube at £295. And im well chuffed not as chuffed as i would have been with paying £260 but still chuffed.

What am i going to expect when i get this!!!

Its a GeCube X1900XTX. I have never experience this compnay before so im hoping for the best.

Any warnings people can give me when i get this?

Don't be alarmed when it sounds like a hoover for the first 3 seconds of boot up! Also make sure you have plenty of juice being supplied through the 6-pin power connector. Also use the Omega drivers.

They are a subsiduary of Gigabyte.

I didn't know that, hmm certainly makes me feel better should I decide to get a Gecube product in the future.

Ok, it arrived yesterday!!! And my god its huge!!! Surprised it fit in my Midi case!!!

Ive ran a few benches and they seem spot on for my specifications. I need to get a new motherboard sometime to allow me to overclock my Pentium D 940 doing this will increase my score a lot.

In 3dmark05 i get around 8900 marks, which i though was low but is just right for my system when i check on the orb.

In 3dmark06 i get 5600 odd marks, this is also just right for my system.

Im moderately happy atm but i know as soon as i get a motherboard that will allow me to overclock ill soon be much happier with it! should get over 10000 on 05 and 6000 on 06.
