Tool kit

I would say that Topeak do some pretty good mid-ride kit.
I don't actually ride pedal bikes myself, but on the advice of those that do and so need compact, comprehensive tool kits, I have a couple of the Topeak ones with ratchets, sockets, ¼" bits (allen, cross, Torx) and the like.
They rave about them for the bike, and I use mine all the time in other daily doings. I wish I'd known about these back when I had my first motorcycle!

I have this one in my work bag right now: https://www.topeak.com/us/en/products/mini-tools/1076-ratchet-rocket--lite-ntx--(2018)

For just standard tools in the home workshop, Halfords stuff is pretty good and usually well priced.

Thanks for your input guys. At the moment I'm having problem with breaks scraping against front break rotor. Have already purchased tool for straightening the rotor but not sure what else I will need, I guess Allen keys ? That Topeak kit that ttaskmaster listed looks like a good start I guess ?

Very new to mountain biking so please go easy on me :o

Much appreciated ! Will go through these and order on boxing Day sales

Check their other kits and gadgets too. They have various products that, to me, make a lot of sense for MTBers.
Much of their stuff can be found in Go Outdoors shops, if you want to have a look first, and usually at decent prices.
